2. Our Quality Promise

Every scarf in our store carries four guarantees:

100% Grade 6A mulberry silk. The highest commercial grade — long, lustrous fibers from mulberry-fed silkworms. No blends, no polyester. See our Grade 6A buyer’s guide if you want to understand what that means.

Honest, stated weights. Every product page lists the fabric weight in momme (10, 14, 16 or 18) so you know exactly how the scarf will feel before you order. Not sure which weight suits you? Our momme guide explains the differences plainly.

Hand-finished edges. Every hem is hand-rolled. All colors are set with OEKO-TEX certified dyes — tested safe for skin contact, colorfast, and lasting.

Inspected before shipping. Every piece is checked for weave quality, print clarity, and hemming before it is folded and packed.

Verify it yourself. Pull one thread from the hem and burn it — real silk smells of burning hair and leaves crumbly ash; polyester melts into a hard bead. Full instructions in our authenticity guide. A seller who tells you how to test them has nothing to hide.

A note on natural fiber: minute weave irregularities and slight shade variation between dye lots are signs of authenticity, not defects.

3. Washing

Silk is a protein fiber — treat it the way you treat fine hair: cool water, gentle products, no force.

  • Hand wash in cold water (30°C / 86°F or below) with a few drops of pH-neutral detergent or baby shampoo.
  • Swish gently for 3–5 minutes. Do not rub, scrub, or soak overnight.
  • Rinse in cool water. A teaspoon of white vinegar in the final rinse restores luster.
  • Never use hot water, enzyme detergents, bleach, or stain removers — enzymes digest silk fibers.

4. Drying & Ironing

  • Never wring. Press water out gently, then roll in a clean towel to absorb moisture.
  • Dry flat, in shade. Direct sunlight fades dyes; tumble dryers and radiators make fibers brittle.
  • Iron on the lowest silk setting, on the reverse side or under a pressing cloth, while slightly damp. A garment steamer or a steamy bathroom works just as well.

5. Storage

  • Roll or fold loosely — avoid tight folds under heavy items for extended periods.
  • Store clean. Invisible traces of perfume or skin oil attract moths and can yellow over time. A cedar or lavender sachet in the drawer is a gentle deterrent.
  • Keep away from prolonged light exposure, which slowly fades even the best dyes.
  • Apply perfume before putting your scarf on, never directly onto the fabric — alcohol can spot-mark silk.

Treated this way, a Grade 6A silk scarf stays beautiful for ten years or more.

6. Returns & Exchanges

  • 30-day returns on unworn, unwashed items in original condition.
  • Arrived damaged or not as described? Email us a photo within 7 days of delivery — we will replace or refund it, shipping on us, no questions asked.
